How To Escape the Winter Blues

Updated: Jul 11, 2024

Why are we so hellbent on wearing black in the winter? Isn't it time we make winter feel fun again?

As I start my commute to work, not only do I see grey skies, but a sea of people all wearing grey tones on the same commute. No wonder we're all feeling so low in the cooler seasons, we are surrounded by GREY. If you are anything like me, bright colours make you feel bright, you can't tell me that putting on that yellow dress in the summertime doesn't make you feel bright, so why can't we turn that yellow dress into a yellow coat, scarf or knit jumper?

I'm officially calling out all the winter blues and instead of blaming the weather, I'm going to blame our bleak winter wardrobes. It's time we re-think winter fashion and make it feel like summer so that the blues will be no more!

I'm making it my mission to find winter pieces that feel like summer, so there is no way you can say no to making this winter a bright one!

We need to take inspiration from these ladies, and wear colour like a pro. Whether you go out and buy a colourful bag, put your brightest scarf on or layer your favourite grandma sweater, creating an outfit with colour doesn't have to be hard.
